Measurable Elements
ME E15.1: The facility ensures adolescent-friendly health clinic/counseling services with privacy, confidentiality, and non-judgmental care.
(Focuses on establishing dedicated ARSH/AFHC hours/corners, maintaining non-judgmental staff attitudes, maintaining strict confidentiality, and providing a welcoming environment for adolescents).
ME E15.2: The facility ensures routine screening, early identification, and management of common adolescent health issues, including anemia and nutritional deficiencies.
(Focuses on screening for BMI/malnutrition, anemia screening, distribution of Weekly Iron and Folic Acid Supplementation (WIFS), albendazole administration, and growth monitoring).
ME E15.3: The facility provides comprehensive counseling and education on menstrual health and hygiene, sexual and reproductive health, and mental well-being.
(Focuses on counseling regarding pubertal changes, menstrual hygiene management, sanitary napkin distribution schemes, substance abuse prevention, and gender-based violence awareness).
ME E15.4: The facility ensures effective referral linkages, outreach activities, and convergence with schools and Anganwadi centres for adolescent health programs.
(Focuses on coordinating with Peer Educators (Saathiya), implementing RKSK outreach sessions, organizing Adolescent Health Days (AHDs), and establishing clinical referral channels to higher health centers).
