Standard G5: Facility has defined Mission, Values, Quality policy and Objectives, and approved plan to achieve them
The standard ensure purpose of the organization is articulated in form of mission statement and it is communicated to its internal & external stakeholders.
It also ensures core values of organization is defined and are part of all policies, procedures & always consider while
realizing the services to its users.
The standard make sure organization determine its Quality policy and ensure it provide framework for Quality objectives.
Assessment of the standard can be done by reviewing the records pertaining to mission, core values, Quality policy & objectives.
Assessor may interview staff about their awareness of mission, values, policies & objectives etc.
ME G5.1: The facility has a defined mission, core values, and quality policy that are documented and communicated to internal and external stakeholders.
(Focuses on defining organizational purpose, displaying mission and vision statements prominently, and ensuring staff and community members are aware of core values and quality policy).
ME G5.2: The facility formulates quality objectives and key performance indicators consistent with its quality policy.
(Focuses on establishing measurable, time-bound targets for quality improvement across clinical and operational areas).
ME G5.3: The facility has an approved quality improvement plan to achieve its objectives and reviews its progress periodically.
(Focuses on documenting an actionable strategy, allocating necessary resources, and reviewing progress towards quality goals during routine management reviews).
