Standard A2: The facility provides drugs & diagnostic services as mandated

DR.AMIR

  • Standard measures the availability of basic diagnostic and drugs in HWC.

  • It measures availability of point of care diagnostics through rapid diagnostic kit and referral at the Central Diagnostic Unit-Hub/appropriate higher facility.

  • Standard also measures drug dispensing services including re-fills as service provision.

  • It also measures timely availability of drugs and diagnostic reports.

  • ME A2.1: The facility provides laboratory services as mandated.

    (Focuses on availability of basic point-of-care diagnostics, rapid diagnostic kits (RDKs), essential tests like Hb, blood sugar, urine dipstick, screening tests, and linkages with central diagnostic hubs).

  • ME A2.2: The facility provides services for drug dispensing, including medicine refills.

    (Focuses on the continuous availability of essential drugs as per the Essential Medicines List (EML), timely dispensing, and refill management for chronic disease cases).
