Each programme should be assessed for quality of clinical services as per respective technical protocols.
The standard also checks availability & usage of Yoga and Ayush services for wellness & Health promotion.
The functionality of services being confirmed through staff interview & record review.
Measurable Elements
ME E11.1: The facility ensures population-based screening and early detection of common Non-Communicable Diseases (Hypertension, Diabetes, and common Cancers - Oral, Breast, Cervical).
(Focuses on CBAC form filling, community/facility screening schedules, maintaining screening registries, and timely diagnostic confirmation).
ME E11.2: The facility ensures standard clinical management, treatment compliance, and periodic follow-up care for diagnosed NCD patients.
(Focuses on adherence to NPNCD protocols, dispensing prescribed medicines, tracking patient compliance, monitoring vitals/glycemic control, and scheduling return visits).
ME E11.3: The facility ensures referral, counter-referral linkages, and continuum of care for NCD patients requiring specialized care or complications management.
(Focuses on timely referral to CHCs/DHs, tracking feedback/discharge summaries, updating clinical records, and maintaining continuum of care at the primary level).
ME E11.4: The facility promotes lifestyle modification, wellness activities, AYUSH, and Yoga services for health promotion and prevention of NCDs.
(Focuses on organizing yoga sessions, counseling on healthy diet, physical activity, tobacco cessation, alcohol control, and integration of AYUSH wellness principles).
