Standard D1: The facility has established programme for maintenance and upkeep of the facility
The standard is related to facility management and equipment/instrument maintenance in HWC (SC).
Standard include overall appearance, cleanliness status, infrastructure maintenance, removal of junk and condemned material etc.
It also includes processes for line-listing, maintenance and inhouse calibration of equipment & instruments.
ME D1.1: The facility maintains physical infrastructure, aesthetics, and overall cleanliness across all areas.
(Focuses on general appearance, clean walls, intact plastering, functional doors/windows, pest control, and systematic removal of junk/condemned items).
ME D1.2: The facility has a defined mechanism for preventive and breakdown maintenance of facility infrastructure and utility systems.
(Focuses on maintenance logs, quick resolution of civil/plumbing/electrical issues, and functional backup power supply).
ME D1.3: The facility maintains line-listing, inventory, and periodic maintenance records for equipment and medical instruments.
(Focuses on maintaining an updated inventory register, equipment history cards, calibration logs, and preventive maintenance schedules).
